Gourmet Back Street Tapas and Market Tour

This is a private, off-the-beaten-track food tour to the best food havens in Barcelona’s famous Born district, where you discover the secrets of Catalonia’s world-renowned cuisine at the local market and two outstanding tapas bars. We start with a tour of the Santa Catalina food market, where you’ll learn all about the regional produce of Catalonia and how it’s used in traditional and new Catalan cuisine.

At the market, you have an olive oil tasting at a stall that boasts a selection of the best extra virgin oils of Catalonia and Spain. You’ll also try a selection of Catalonia’s best-loved cured meats and cheeses.

The main event is lunch at two of the city’s best tapas bars, in the atmospheric Born district. At the first, you enjoy a selection of inventive new and traditional Catalan tapas accompanied by excellent local wines. Our second stop has a selection of ingeniously reinvented Catalan desserts accompanied by local cava and coffee to finish.
