About our Priorat wine tours

Our Priorat wine tours take you to two or three of the region's top wineries, each with its own character and unique understanding on how to produce the perfect Priorat. 

You’ll discover how the llicorella slate soil and the steep terraces of its vineyards are responsible for the bold, complex flavours that are characteristic of Priorat's best wines. Included in each of our Priorat wine tours are guided visits at the wineries in the company of one of the producers, followed by tastings of their finest wines.

A 4x4 drive through the vineyards is the highlight at one of the wineries, which ends with an unforgettable outdoor tasting among the vines on a hill overlooking the whole of the Priorat region.

Lunch and transportation

For lunch, you can enjoy a fantastic three-course Catalan meal. You’ll be taken to a charming winery with its own restaurant and beautiful garden terrace. Of course, you’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your meal, paired with five excellent red and white Priorat wines.

Transport can be arranged by Mercedes V Class or E Class with a friendly English-speaking driver or with one of our expert wine guides.

Depending on the length, the tour includes visits to two or three of the region’s most acclaimed wineries and gives you a clear insight into the methods and techniques used for winemaking in the area.

At each winery, you have a full guided tour that includes visiting the vineyards at one of them. After each tour, you have a guided wine tasting of their best wines.

After visiting two wineries in the morning, you have a table for a relaxed lunch at an excellent restaurant that creates amazing dishes with locally sourced produce and some local wines, of course! After lunch, you visit the third winery on the tour before returning to Barcelona.

Some of the better known wineries to visit on a Priorat wine tour are the innovators who came in the 1980's like Clos Mogador and Alvaro Palacios both of whom produce some of Priorat’s most sought-after wines. 

For a more intimate experience, there are family-run wineries like Celler Devinssi, where you can walk the vineyards and enjoy personalized tastings.
